Privacy Policy
SAVNG ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by GigHz LLC, runs savng.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it plainly rather than hide things in legalese.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Contact details — name and email address when you subscribe to alerts, submit a form, or create an account.
- Preferences — the sectors, themes, and alert topics you choose; quiz or questionnaire answers you submit.
- Content you enter — positions, plans, notes, and journal entries you add to portfolio or watchlist tools. This is your self-entered content; we do not review or advise on it.
- Payment information — if you buy a subscription, payment is handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Correspondence — messages you send us.
Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps, via server logs and cookies. If you receive our emails, our email provider may record deliveries, opens, and clicks.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as government IDs, financial account numbers, health, biometric, or precise geolocation data). Please don't send them to us.
2. How We Use Your Information
To operate and improve the Service; to send the alerts and digests you asked for; to process subscriptions and payments; to respond to you; to analyze usage; to protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and to comply with legal obligations. Where required, we rely on your consent for marketing email — and you can withdraw it at any time.
3. Email and Your Choices
Alert and digest emails are opt-in (double opt-in — you confirm before we send). Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can change which sectors, themes, or signal alerts you receive at any time from the manage-preferences link in any email. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential account or transactional messages (such as billing notices).
4. Sharing Your Information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers who operate the platform on our behalf, under contract, and only for that purpose — see Section 6.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
5. Selling Data — Being Straight With You
This section deserves a direct answer, because we do sell data products — just not the kind people usually worry about.
We do not sell your personal information. We have never sold it, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If that ever changes, we will update this policy, tell you before it takes effect, and give you the ability to opt out as required by applicable law (including a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism where the law requires one). We are telling you plainly that we are keeping this option open for the future rather than quietly reserving it.
We do license and may sell our market data. This is our business: the valuation models, risk scores, insider signals, classifications, screens, backtests, and other analytics we produce from public filings and market data. None of that is personal information about you — it's information about publicly traded companies and markets.
We may use and share aggregated or de-identified data. For example, statistics about how features are used, in a form that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. We maintain and use such data in de-identified form and will not attempt to re-identify it, except as permitted by law.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties We Use
We use the following categories of providers, each with their own privacy practices:
- Hosting, CDN, and infrastructure — Cloudflare (edge, workers, storage) and our web host.
- Email delivery — Brevo, which processes subscriber email addresses to send the digests and alerts you request.
- Payments — our payment processor (Stripe) if and when paid plans are offered; card data goes to them, not us.
- AI processing — Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) generate research summaries from public company data. We do not send your personal information to them for this purpose.
- Productivity/records — Google (e.g. Sheets) may be used to store form or lead records.
Market-data sources (no personal information involved): SEC EDGAR (public domain), FINRA, FRED, Shiller/CAPE data, and market-price vendors such as Tiingo and Stooq. These supply information about companies and markets — not about you.
Public platforms: we publish automated summaries of our own research to third-party platforms (such as Reddit and Bluesky). Those posts contain no subscriber personal information. If you interact with us there, that platform's own privacy policy governs.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for site functionality and preference cookies to remember your choices (for example, dismissing a signup prompt). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some may break parts of the site.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, subscriber details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and billing records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics. Deleted content may persist briefly in backups before being overwritten.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Subject to your location and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal information, to withdraw consent, to opt out of marketing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
California (CCPA/CPRA): you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, request deletion or correction, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing." As stated in Section 5, we do not sell or share personal information; if that changes we will provide the required opt-out.
EEA/UK (GDPR): our legal bases are consent (marketing email), contract (providing the Service), and legitimate interests (security, improving the Service). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Data may be processed in the United States.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law allows.
11. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes — including any change to Section 5 regarding selling personal information — we will provide advance notice (such as by email or a prominent site notice) and obtain consent or offer an opt-out where required.
13. Contact
