Don't outsource your judgment
Here is exactly what this site is, what it isn't, how our numbers are computed, and how the person behind it trades. In plain English, because that's the whole point.
What savng.com is — and is not
SAVNG is an educational research publication built and run by GigHz LLC. Everything on this site — valuations, insider signals, risk scores, screeners, alerts — is impersonal: computed by the same automated pipeline, with the same rules, for every visitor. We publish general-circulation research about securities; we do not know your financial situation, and nothing here accounts for it.
We are a publisher, not an investment adviser. We do not provide personalized investment advice, we do not manage money, and we do not tell anyone to buy or sell anything. Our language is deliberately descriptive ("this stock trades at 0.72× our modeled value"), never directive. If you need advice tailored to you, consult a licensed financial adviser. Nothing on this site or in our emails is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy or sell any security.
How our performance figures are computed
Any performance number you see here is hypothetical — it measures what our published signals did afterward, not money we or anyone else actually made. Specifically:
- Event study. Every opportunistic insider buy our pipeline records becomes a data point: the stock's return over the next 21 and 63 trading days, and the same-period return of the S&P 500. "Beat the S&P" = the difference. Buckets with few events are labeled unreliable, because they are.
- No cherry-picking. We show every bucket we test — including the ones that underperform, and including our own internal control (low-conviction buys, which should do worse if our scoring means anything).
- Statistical honesty. Where we show an edge, we show the t-statistic next to it. When it's below conventional significance, we say "not yet proven" — in the same font size.
- The public ledger. Every high-conviction signal is logged prospectively — at the time the pipeline records it — in the signal ledger, with its subsequent performance filled in as it matures. Winners and losers. Entries are never edited or deleted.
- Hypothetical results have inherent limits. They are computed with hindsight's data quality, ignore trading costs, taxes, and liquidity, and do not reflect the discipline required to actually hold positions. Past performance — real or hypothetical — does not predict future results.
The operator's personal-trading policy
SAVNG is built and operated by a single person, who also invests personally and may hold positions in securities that appear on this site. The policy, in force since July 2026:
- All signals are generated and published by the automated pipeline on its own schedule. The operator does not trade a signal before it is publicly visible on this site to everyone.
- The operator receives no compensation from any company mentioned on this site, and no third party pays for placement in any signal, screener, or ranking. There are no affiliate relationships with brokers.
- Data sources are public: SEC EDGAR filings, exchange-published prices, FINRA short-sale files, and Federal Reserve (FRED) economic series.
Our social accounts
SAVNG posts to Bluesky (@savng.com), Reddit (r/InsiderAlpha and, as individuals, other investing communities), and email. Those posts come from us — when we share a signal in a community we participate in, the scanner behind it is ours and we say so. The same descriptive-not-directive rule applies everywhere we post.
Alerts and emails
All email lists are double opt-in (you confirm by clicking a link before anything is sent), free unless explicitly labeled otherwise, and carry one-click unsubscribe and a preferences page. We store your email address and chosen topics — nothing more — and never sell or share the list. See the privacy policy.
Paid products — refunds, cancellation
Where we offer a paid product, the terms are simple by design: 30-day, no-questions refund on annual plans (email [email protected]); cancel anytime and keep access to the end of the paid period; no auto-renewal without the renewal date shown at checkout; no lifetime deals, no countdown timers. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
Data can be wrong
Our pipeline parses tens of thousands of SEC filings and price records automatically. We build guardrails against parse errors and label data-quality tiers honestly, but mistakes reach the page from time to time. When you spot one, tell us: [email protected]. Verify any figure against the primary filing before acting on it.
